Context and situation

The service was referred by one of our partners in the United States, who did not continue coordination at the destination. Eternimax took over full coordination from the moment the remains left the Miami airport toward Palmerola Airport in Comayagua, Honduras, staying in direct contact with the deceased's son and family members in Honduras.

The main focus was keeping communication aligned between the U.S. partner, the family, and the local partner in Honduras. Documentation timelines (apostilles, forensic validations, and translations) did not depend directly on our coordination, so we explained to the family in advance what to expect at each stage.

02

How we coordinated it

We stayed in active communication with the direct family member to understand their specific requests; based on that conversation we arranged the casket and clothing change for the deceased, as requested by the family.

We coordinated the departure of the remains from the origin airport with our U.S. provider, the connection to the destination airport, and the receipt by the local funeral home in Honduras, responsible for preparation, viewing, and interment at the regional cemetery.

Outcome and takeaway

The case closed in 17 days with no setbacks, with satisfaction expressed by both the deceased's son and the family in Honduras, who especially valued the constant communication throughout the process.

This case reaffirms the value of our role as coordinators: having a network of licensed providers across different countries lets us respond to specific family requests (such as a casket change) and provide close follow-up from first contact to case closure.
