01Context and situation

A partner in the United States referred the case and did not continue coordination at the destination. From the moment the remains left the Miami airport for Palmerola Airport in Comayagua, Eternimax was the coordination point among the referring partner, the deceased's son and the family in Honduras.

The priority was keeping communication aligned among the U.S. partner, the family and the receiving provider in Honduras. Documentation timelines — apostilles, forensic validations and translations — depended on providers and authorities, not on Eternimax, so we explained to the family ahead of time what to expect at each stage.

02How we coordinated it

We stayed in close contact with the deceased's son to understand the family's wishes. The family asked for a casket and clothing change; we relayed the request to the receiving funeral home in Honduras, which carried it out.

We followed the departure from the origin airport with the U.S. provider, the connection to the destination airport and the receipt by the funeral home in Honduras, which handled the preparation, viewing and interment at the regional cemetery.

03Outcome and takeaway

The case closed in 17 days with no setbacks. The deceased's son and the family in Honduras told us they especially valued the constant communication throughout the process.

What we take from it: our role is to connect the parties. Working with licensed providers in different countries lets a family's specific requests, such as a casket change, reach the right provider — with follow-up from the first call to the close of the case.

Eternimax's role

Eternimax served as the coordination point among the family/client and the independent providers involved in the case, maintaining communication, relaying requested information and following the case through completion.

Provider role

The U.S. provider handled the departure. The receiving funeral home in Honduras handled the receipt, preparation, viewing and interment at the regional cemetery.

Every case is different. Timelines and outcomes depend on the providers, authorities and documentation involved; a past case does not mean another case will have the same timeline or result.

01Context and situation

A member in the United States called our 24/7 line after the passing of a close relative in Maracaibo. Having been through a similar case before, the family asked us to start coordinating right away.

Eternimax coordinated with the local funeral home, in constant contact with the member and with a trusted family member in the country, who accompanied and confirmed each step.

02How we coordinated it

We followed our six-stage coordination protocol: listening first, gathering information, internal coordination and engaging the local provider, constant contact with the member and the family's contact in the country, follow-up until the service was complete, and follow-up after the service.

During the process the family decided to change from cremation to interment, since they already owned a plot at the local cemetery. We relayed the decision to the funeral home — licensed for both interment and cremation — which adjusted the service right away and handled the documentation with the civil registry and the cemetery.

03Outcome and takeaway

The service was completed in two days, with no setbacks. The interment took place at the local cemetery, as the family finally decided.

As part of our follow-up, after an appropriate time we offered the family a tribute video in memory of their loved one, with photos and words of dedication.

Eternimax's role

Eternimax served as the coordination point among the family/client and the independent providers involved in the case, maintaining communication, relaying requested information and following the case through completion.

Provider role

The local funeral home, licensed for interment and cremation, handled the documentation with the civil registry and the cemetery and performed the interment.

Every case is different. Timelines and outcomes depend on the providers, authorities and documentation involved; a past case does not mean another case will have the same timeline or result.

01Context and situation

A member living in the United States called our 24/7 line after her father passed away in the Caracas area. She knew the process from a previous case in her family and asked to work with the same funeral home.

The challenge: no close relatives were in the country to handle the documents and authorize the cremation, and she could not travel. The funeral home required the family's authorization, so we explained the requirement, the member signed it remotely, and we delivered it to the funeral home.

02How we coordinated it

We followed our six-stage protocol: listening first, gathering information, internal coordination and engaging the provider, constant contact with the member, follow-up until the service was complete, and follow-up after the service.

A second setback came up: a bank transfer for the service did not go through, which delayed the delivery of the ashes. We coordinated between the member and the provider's administrative team to enable another payment method, keeping the member informed at every step.

03Outcome and takeaway

The case closed in six days — two more than planned, because of the banking issue. The ashes were delivered to the family along with a floral arrangement, and we offered the member a photo record of the delivery.

What we take from it: have backup plans for administrative problems outside the coordination itself, such as bank delays, and keep the family informed even when the solution doesn't depend only on Eternimax.

Eternimax's role

Eternimax served as the coordination point among the family/client and the independent providers involved in the case, maintaining communication, relaying requested information and following the case through completion.

Provider role

The funeral home handled the documentation, performed the cremation and delivered the ashes.
